Well, it was bound to happen. TWSS finally gave one up and boy did we give it up big time. We were obliterated on both ends and there was no amount of HGH or steroids that we could have taken that could have saved us.
I could point to the little things we did poorly, but the biggest weakness that was exposed this week was our on field leadership. There were several plays where people were just shouting different directions at each other which caused several miscues, misplays, and breakdowns. Now I hate to point fingers, but to use another Obama reference, the buck stops at the captains to right the ship. They need to step up and make decisions quicker and with more authority. At times I think the team is too much of a democracy instead of an autocracy. Everyone is a John Madden and knows the best trick play/formation to run. The caps get all confused by everyone shouting their opinions, meanwhile the other team throws another TD running the same play. Again. Please, shut up and let the caps do their job. Caps, do your job.
After the game, I realized that we are lucky to be 3-1. We really should be a 2-2 team but we’ll take any win we can because if we play like that again, we won’t be doing anymore winning.
