Use reusable shopping bags more often
TL and I have giant sack of plastic grocery bags that we use mainly for picking up Mochi’s poop. Every time I look at that sack, I think about what a waste those bags really are. We’ve also been amassing a collection of another type of bag, the more eco-friendly reusable shopping bags that people hand out at car shows and career fairs. In doing our part to be a little greener, we will be using our reusable shopping bags whenever we remember to take them with us when we go to the grocery stores.
Keep some of those eco-bags in the trunk of your car.
Use eco-bags to bring your lunch to work.
I use the plastic bags when I cook, and have a lot of those stinky trash items that are better off tied up, and either thrown out that day, or into the trash can (so my trash can smells less trashy).
