August Update

Time flies when you’re having fun. Can you believe that it’s already August? Even more shocking, GI Jane reminded me that our ten year high school reunion is this year. Already?! Anyways, what a way to start off the new month that is stacked with TODOs by getting sick.

  • This is the final month (with maybe a week in Sept) that I’m committing to the GMAT. After that, it’s all essays, recs, and CVs. The month long layoff from all that GMAT goodness hopefully won’t be as detrimental as I’m thinking it will be.
  • As part of TL 2.0, the sporty edition, TL and I have a couple of activities lined up that we want to try, some of which includes: kayaking, surfing, biking, jet skiing, and bodyboarding. Studying will take precedence this month but I’d like to get in one of those activities in before the summer closes. I vote kayaking or maybe paddle boarding in the Marina!
  • DG is starting a reading program over @ Walden House and I asked him to keep me in the loop. He’s got most of the initial groundwork figured out and he wanted to see if I was interested helping put the curriculum together. Exciting! It’s going to be interesting once this program gets going and I can compare this experience to Reading to Children (yea yea TL, Kids, !Children).
  • Gotta start planning for Peesmo! Should I spend as if money grows on tree and buy a used Honda CRF 150/230?! Probably not if I don’t want to wreck myself not just monetarily but also physically.
