US Sailors get left behind in Hong Kong
100 US sailors were left behind in HK when their ship, the USS Regan decided it was time to leave because of an incoming typhoon. The sailors were enjoying tea time in Tsim Tsa Shui and discussing the “One Country, Two System” with the locals when the Captain of the USS Regan pulled anchor and set sail leaving the hapless sailors behind. This reminds me of the time when my dad got fed up with waiting for me to get out of a night band practice session and went home. I ended up walking my frozen ass home. Hopefully the US Navy is kind enough to not force the abandoned sailors to swim back to the USS Regan. That would totally ruin all the cheap suits and watches they bought.
Felix Hernandez, a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners baseball team, hit a grand slam off of Johan Santana of the NY Mets. It’s rare for a pitcher to hit a home run, even more rare for the home run to be a grand slam. It’s so rare that it hasn’t happened in 37 years. I’m sure Santana is getting ribbed by his teammates because giving up a home run to a pitcher, worse when the home run is a grand slam, is like losing to a one legged man in jumping jacks. Johan Santana is also one of the best pitchers in the league.

WildNobility beats The Mech-Cannibals
Woohoo! We [Wild Nobility] won our first game of the season, cannibalizing the Mech-Cannibals by two touchdowns. It’s my first win in organized flag football since junior high where I once scored four touchdowns in one game (seriously, I did). We led all the way and should have won by more but our pass rushing and blocking was pretty sloppy in the first half. Our defense turned it up a notch in the second half, forcing two INTs and a punt. Our QB really got it going as well, marching us up and down the field like General Patton. As for me, I had three receptions, one batted pass, one illegal screen, and one butt cheek that fell out when the other team was trying to tackle me. Bundy Shuffle!
Please don’t ask me what Wild Nobility means because I’m not really sure. We have a knight on our jersey and he, maybe she, looks really mean.
