Day 1 – Bought the Kaplan GMAT Premier book and started on Quant. Reviewed the quant material in the book and then did 25 problem solving (PS) questions, three wrong. Wow, some of these questions are tough. I heard that the Kaplan questions are known to be ridiculous sometimes. 3 hours.
Day 2 – Did 25 data sufficiency (DS) questions from the Kaplan book, got 12 right. Man I suck. DS questions suck even harder. 1.5 hours.
Day 3 – Did 25 PS questions from the Kaplan book, got 4 wrong. I noticed that I tend to overthink problems that deal with percentages/fractions. 1.5 hours.
Day 4 – Did 25 DS questions, got only 12 right again. These DS questions are maddening. The problems seemed to be easier this time, but I made a lot of careless mistakes. I hate you DS. I hate you so much.
I also printed out the flashcards from Beat the Gmat (found here). Theyr’e a good starting point for making your own notecards.
